How to cleanse your spirit with a spiritual bath
Ok so the first thing that you want to do is make sure you cleanse the space and also take a shower before your spiritual bath. After you have cleaned everything you run your bath water using a soap or a body wash that will create some nice big suds and that has cleansing properties. I'm using mala beads because I'm going to be chanting. You don't have to use beads if you don't have them you can just chant out loud. This helps keep track and make sure I'm chanting 108 times. I'm using all white candles to represent purity. As you can see I have them on two corners I also have white towels, the towel I dried off with was white. And then make sure you have luxurious oils to rub on your body afterward. I also use oils on my mala beads. You also will want to get some sort of salt scrub. I made mine with pink Himalayan salt, geranium oil and lemon oil. You just drop about 10 drops of each oil into the salt and mix it with a wooden spoon and seal it tight. Let it set for about a day before it's ready to use.
Ok you guys so I just finished by bath and I feel really good. I've never done, well I have before, it was just never this extravagant. I lit the candles, I meditated, I had the music on and I really had an intention. Before when I did a cleansing bath it was just with salt. But, I feel really good. And, um, I just wanted to talk really quickly about what I did. The whole process is symbolic of my intention. My intention is to release anything that no longer serves me. And that's people, feelings, things and anything that no longer serves me. Anything that no longer serves me is now gone. If you're going to do a spiritual bath I recommend you do the same thing. Have your intention set before you get into the water. With the salt, as you're rubbing it all over your body speak to your body, speak to yourself and set your intention for what you are doing. Whatever you are trying to let go off, let's say you have some trauma you need to release; you have people you need to release; maybe you were intimate with the wrong person; release the desire to be intimate with the wrong person; you can release the desire to overeat, weight..whatever you need to release, set that intention as you are rubbing and scrubbing your body. For me, the symbology was in using the salt to rub and scrub away things that were no longer serving me. The negative that is being rubbed off will then go into the water which is drained away from your body.
The candles should be white, red or pink. White to represent purity and pink or red to represent love/self-love. I almost lit a pink candle but decided this would be just about purity cleanliness and all that stuff. The soap I used is the Dr. Teals foaming detox energy, ginger and clay bath soak. That's even symbolic, you know, detoxing the body. So use a soap like that that is symbolic for what you're doing. Look up the symbology or water. Make sure you have luxurious oils to sniff and also adorn your body with the oils. I used the Goddess Oudh oil for meditation with my mala beads. I rub a little bit on my finger tips and then on the beads and smell them. And then you meditate with the beads using a mantra. I used a Sanskrit beeja mantra during my meditation 108 times. Before hand, I applied the Goddess oil to the beads. And then I adorned my body with Oudh of heaven. Then you close our your meditation by giving thanks to your ancestors, spirit guides and whomever. And then you relax the rest of the evening.
